Lunch with Lincoln LIMITED SPACE! | Butterfly Daze 2026

$25.00

WHAT: Over the last year, two incredible pieces of American history have been discovered. Presidential historian and longtime friend of the Carters, Dr. Larry Cook, stumbled upon a rare collection of President Abraham Lincoln sketches and paintings by famed 19th century American portrait painter and Lincoln confidante Francis Carpenter. And the Society of Presidential Descendants uncovered the only known living descendant of Abraham Lincoln, Timothy John York.

Larry and Tim will team up for this very special “Lunch with Lincoln” in Plains, Georgia to share stories of Lincoln directly from Larry’s new book, Brushes with History: Francis B. Carpenter In His Own Words, which includes excerpts from Francis Carpenter’s journals. Carpenter’s unique relationship with the 16th president provides a fascinating look into Lincoln’s life as President during one of the most tumultuous periods of United States history.

Your ticket includes a lunch plate provided by the Buffalo Cafe, and the opportunity to purchase Larry’s new book Brushes with History, as well as have it autographed by Larry and Tim.
