Celebrate America 250, Plains style! Join us on June 27 for Plains, Trains & Fireworks! Events begin at 6:30pm and Fireworks at 9:30pm. The Carter Garden and Park are open until 9:30pm.

Customer Service Workshop

Tuesday, July 14, 2026 | Registration Deadline: July 5

Members of the hospitality industry throughout Sumter County and residents are invited to attend and participate in a Customer Service Workshop hosted by the Friends of Jimmy Carter National Historical Park.

Penny Smith, who previously managed the Georgia Visitors Center, will be facilitating the workshop.

In this workshop you will learn not only the importance of excellent customer service , but how to implement into the workforce.
