Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll started his career in this period and that famous red-head we all loved, “I Love Lucy,” appeared on screen. In 1951, the fastest invention entered America’s homes. The TV. This room has one queen size bed and a unique semicircle sofa. The modern TV. in this room is placed upon an original entertainment center, which includes a radio and record player. The bathroom has a regular step-in tub and shower.

About the Plains Inn

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have joined their hometown in developing an Historic Inn & Antiques Mall located on Main Street in Plains. They now invite you to step back in time and enjoy the accommodations of one of seven period suites, authentically furnished from the 1920s to 1980s -"every room a history lesson." Each suite includes a private bath, cable TV, a smoke-free environment, and meets accessibility standards. Guests enjoy wireless internet as well as exclusive use of the common room and balcony overlooking the historic square that provides a place for relaxation.
