About the 1960s Room at Plains Inn
In this era, the U.S. sent troops to Vietnam, “Barbie” became a popular toy, and the Beatles were a big hit with the ladies. This room is complete with a lava lamp and lime green grass cloth wall paper in the bathroom. The room includes 1 queen bed, and the bathroom has a regular tub with handrails.

About the Plains Inn

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have joined their hometown in developing an Historic Inn & Antiques Mall located on Main Street in Plains. They now invite you to step back in time and enjoy the accommodations of one of seven period suites, authentically furnished from the 1920s to 1980s -"every room a history lesson." Each suite includes a private bath, cable TV, a smoke-free environment, and meets accessibility standards.
